Birds were very numerous at Tangle Creek. I counted 8 species of birds occupying this large Sycamore tree at one time. There were 3 species of warblers (Yellow, Wilson's, and Lucy's Warblers), one Hepatic Tanager, one Bullock's Oriole, an Abert's Towhee scratching in the leaf litter, a woodpecker hammering in the upper part of the tree, and I flushed some Gambel's Quail from below the tree when I stood to walk on! Wow!
